Giorgos Foskolos and Fragiskos Amoiralis count more than 30 years of “pastry-making” presence in the island. In 1975, they leave Athens behind to move to Tinos and together start Mesklies, aiming at making people’s lives as sweet as they can.
With the use of pure and quality ingredients, they carried on the traditional tinian recipes yet they didn’t hesitate to experiment on new, original ideas thus creating pastries whose savor is kept in everyone’s mind for a long time.
As a matter of fact, since 1991, Mesklies has evolved the traditional concept of a pastry shop, as it also provides café services. In this way, the beloved “ritual” of coffee is combined with sweet temptations which no one can resist in. For the standards of those days, the formation of a café-pastry shop was a significant pioneering endeavor for Cyclades.
