Aristeides Kontogeorgis was born in Tinos.He studied at the Fine Arts School of Northern Illinois University in the USA, where he obtained degrees of Fine Arts, Art History and Political Science.
He holds a PhD in Technical Management and Applied Arts.
He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Photography and Audiovisual Arts of the Faculty of Graphic Arts and Art Studies, TEI Athens.
He is a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts since 1985, Chairman of the Board the Greek Photographic Society since 2005 and Chairman of the Board the International Federation of Photographic Festival «International Photography Festival Federation» (IPFF).
He has had twenty-seven solo exhibitions in Greece and abroad and has stakes in dozens of group exhibitions abroad in international exchanges and festivals. His works are in museum collections in Greece and abroad. Twenty-four books and albums have been published. He has participated in international seminars and conferences and has authored numerous articles in scientific journals.
