OWNER’S INTERVIEW

THE CREATION OF THE RESTAURANT AND THE LOVE FOR THE ISLAND

-.... You come from Trikala, how many years do you live in Tinos?

I've been on the island a few months, but I feel like I'm in my hometown. People have embraced me at both a professional and a friendly level.

-Why did you choose Falatados Village to start your business?

I chose a mountainous village in a predominantly summer destination, because I consider it a challenge. Since my first visit to the settlement I felt its dynamic, I experienced the warmth in the celebrations of Ai Yiannis and rakizio , it is a place full of contrasts between barren landscapes with imposing cliffs and living vineyards.

-What fascinates you most about the island of Tinos?

The fact that it is a place that has remained unchanged in time, maintains its tradition and architecture, is receptive to the visitor, opens its house, shares, has fun and shares its love for dance, which most of the times lasts till morning.

-How were you inspired the name of the restaurant?

It has the meaning of the group that wants to get together, after a long time, around a table, to share emotions and to conclude that we have eaten bread and salt, that is, we have lived many moments together.

-What dish would you recommend for a visitor to try?

I can’t select specifically any of the dishes, because I create them with the same passion and I choose daily the raw material. Everything is a combination of the flavors with which I have grown up in harmony with the local products.
